FURNACES & QUENCHES
We have ten gas-fired multiple-zone furnaces, all chargers loaded and managed via state of the art programmable digital controllers and monitored using digital temperature recorders.
Furnace atmosphere for all furnaces are products of combustion and are neutral to slightly oxidizing. All furnaces are surveyed annually to the latest API 6A specifications and calibrated quarterly to ensure consistent performance.
Quality is the central focus of Con Mech heat treatment services. We have invested heavily in bringing together the skills and expertise required to produce materials that optimise performance, whatever application they are destined for.
Following any treatment, we will carry out testing to verify the characteristics and expected performance of each product to demonstrate compliance with your specification.
Shot blasting is used after heat treatment to prepare materials for further processing, crack detection or painting.
At Con Mech we have developed shot blast facilities to reinforce our position as a total process supplier, reducing delivery cycles and costs.

Con Mech Engineers provides specialist heat treatment services to engineering industry that extend the operational life and improve the performance of key components in critical applications. Our technical experts will work closely with you to achieve optimum results based on the materials you supply, alternatively we’ll work to your specification and advise you how best to achieve the results you need. Also, by refining our heat treatment processes and materials handling we can create highly specialised outcomes.
Our market leading heat treatment facilities are certified and approved to a number of international standards. Combined with our wealth of knowledge and experience this enables us deliver the material properties you require reliably and consistently. We pride ourselves on rapid turnaround whether it is a one off component or a high volume requirement. We can process loads up to 6.5m long x 2m wide and 15 tonne.
To complement our heat treatment services we have also invested in surface finishing, precision engineering and materials testing facilities so that we can provide you with a total process service. We can provide a range of machining and cutting processes to components or material either pre or post heat treatment as appropriate, shot blast surfaces after treatment to prepare them for further processing and carry out final testing to verify material characteristics and demonstrate compliance with your specification.
